The "keep alive" codes were mentioned by the Black OTP1 messages several times (December 23 2012 and 17 January 2013). These codes allow the caller to ask any number of questions (or QX to the message desk operator, who then forwards the questions to some unknown group to be answered. QX/Questions appear to have been formatted in prompts, which later the (234)_222-0004 phone number developed a striking similarity to.

The message desk code is 231003, with verification codes of 5F67B (used) and 10FF2B (used 26 January 2013). The verification codes can be used only once.
